HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE FINANCIALLY?

Studies show that one in three women experience violence in the domestic space. Your generous contribution would allow women with very little hope gain what is theirs by right — a violence free home.

The Woman of the Elements Trust is a registered Trust and all donations are eligible for 50% tax exemption under section 80G of Income Tax Act 1961.

Write to us at womanoftheelementstrust@gmail.com to find out more.

WHERE DOES IT GO?

We believe in being fully transparent about where your contribution goes.

Compensation of legal officers: the major expenses of the Woman of the Elements Trust, which is a not-for-profit organisation, are salaries for the legal officers.

Raising the number of cases: The income bar we have set for the women we help is so that those who cannot fend for themselves may gain access to legal aid. However, given our larger aim, we would like to be able to raise the bar we have set in order to reach more women in need.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE OTHER WAYS IN WHICH YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE?

Please write to us at womanoftheelementstrust@gmail.com if you would like to contribute in the following ways:

Volunteer —We are happy to engage with students wanting to intern, or working professionals who would like to volunteer time to the Trust

Non-financial support — Several women we work with are attempting to restart their lives, along with their children. Particularly in light of the impact of COVID-19, we are aware of the difficulties that they are facing in this regard. Some of the things you could donate for them include:  study materials for children, old smartphones and laptops, books, and clothes. Please write to us with details so that we can facilitate this.

Partner — We are open to partnerships for initiatives/events for your organisation.

Write for our Blog: Get in touch to feature your work on our blog. We are open to submissions relating to issues around gender particularly, though not limited to, gender-based violence.
